My Identity

My last name, Koerber ( \´kər-bər\ ), is a German occupational name for basket maker. My identity stemmed from there and this logo is a combination of the origins of my full name, Anna Grace Koerber.

Meet Grace Koerber, a digital designer by day and a visual artist by night.

Grace collaborates with a talented team of reporters, editors, and visual journalists to create innovative storytelling experiences at the Washington Post. In her spare time, you can find Grace spreading paint on canvas, making delicious food and exploring the music scene. She once saw Cut Copy 3 times in one week, a true #1 fan experience. Grace loves playing outside — running, soccer and snowboarding are some of her favorite outdoor activities. She’s recently become obsessed with yoga and is working on seeing through her third eye. She strongly believes clothes are supposed to be fun and she can’t resist wearing shiny objects, fur and heels.

Grace is a native of Asheville, NC, spent her college years in Chapel Hill, NC, played in Brooklyn for a while and now resides in the nation’s capitol, Washington, DC. While in college, she studied both in Spain and in Thailand. Grace has an innate sense of adventure and loves to explore new places — she plans to make her next big international trip a tour of Eastern Europe.
